Subscriptions are used to activate NTRIP accounts. In your personal account you can buy subscriptions by clicking on the “add subscription” button on the subscriptions page, or from the marketplace.

Subscriptions determine the length of your connection as well as to which network you are allowed to connect. They can be fully managed from you account, you can start and stop them whenever you want.

Subscriptions can be purchased in various lengths, depending on what the network offers. These range from week, month, 3 month, 6 month, year and even multi year.

Activating your RTK device with a subscription #

Please follow the steps below if you want to use a subscription to activate your NTRIP account for your RTK device.

Step 1 – Purchase an RTK subscription #

First you purchase a subscription. You can do this either on the subscription page or the marketplace. Select the network you want access to, select the duration and complete the purchase. After the purchase your subscription will be visible on the subscriptions page

NOTE: on marketplace, do not click on “deploy in organisation” as this option is only for organisations that already have purchased subscriptions outside of RTK FIX but need a place to manage it.

Step 2 – Create NTRIP account #

The next step is to create an NTRIP account. These are the details you will have to enter in your RTK device to access the server and receive RTK correction data from the platform.

To do this, go to the NTRIP accounts page and click on “add NTRIP account”. After clicking this button it will ask you to give it a name, recommended is to give it a memorable name so you know which RTK device it is eg. the brand and model of the device. After naming it, click on create and you will see new NTRIP login credentials show up.

You can make multiple NTRIP account if you want. For example if you have multiple devices.

Step 3 – Attach subscription to an NTRIP account #

After creating your NTRIP account, all you have to do is attach your subscription to it. Choose the NTRIP account you want to activate and click on the green “manage” button. You will be prompted choose between “subscription” or “credits”. Choose subscription.

After choosing subscription you will see a dropdown. When clicking on the dropdown you will see all available subscriptions. Select the one you want to use and click on “connect”.

When connected you will see more details in your NTRIP account like DNS, IP, PORT and mountpoints. This means you have successfully activated it.

Step 4 – Enter credentials in your RTK device #

The last step is to enter these credentials in your RTK device. Please follow the RTK device’s manufacturer guide on how to do this. Normally it’s labelled under NTRIP, NTRIP Client, RTK or Rover settings.

NOTE: PLEASE CHECK THE PORT! This is important if you have subscriptions for multiple networks. All NTRIP parameters stay the same, except for the port number. This is because we map our networks on different ports. So always check your port when changing to a different network.

Canceling your RTK subscription #

Don’t need your RTK subscription anymore and want to stop it for a certain period? You can easily manage your RTK subscription wihtin your RTK FIX account. Go to the subscriptions page and select the subscription you want to cancel.

When clicking on cancel it will stop the automated billing. This means your subscription will still be available until the expiry date.

Made a mistake by canceling it? Click on reactivate to start automated billing again.
